Ingredient Information:
Albizzia lebbeck
- Has anti-allergic properties [1]
- Has a stabilising effect on mast cells
- Lowers the level of allergy inducing antibodies
Baical Skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis)
- Has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties [1]
- Contains flavonoids that inhibit inflammatory prostaglandins
and histamine release by mast cells in vitro
- Has antiplatelet effects which thin the blood
Vitamin C (Ester-C)
- Is the major antioxidant on the airway surface area of
the lung protecting against oxidative damage which can increase
allergic reactions and increase bronchoconstriction.
- Vitamin C prevents the secretion of histamine by white
blood cells.
- Asthmatics have lower levels of Vitamin C in serum and
white blood cells. [2]
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid)
- Is important for optimum adrenal support (in combination
with Vitamin C). Adrenal support is part of the natural
approach to allergy relief. Supplementation may reduce allergic
reactions. [3]
Magnesium
- Chronic magnesium deficiency may produce allergic manifestations.
[3]
Zinc
- Red Blood cell zinc levels may be low in people with chemical
sensitivities. [3]
- Zinc may inhibit the release of histamine from basophils
and mast cells. [3]
Hesperidin
- Bioflavonoids have anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic
properties and protect against oxidative damage and increase
intra-cellular levels of Vitamin C.
